About Boner Petite

Boner Petite is an all-female, long-form improv ensemble composed of some of the hottest and most talented performers in the history of Chicago improv.

They might look like a group of sweet ladies, but in improv action, they are fearless. Playful to the core, Boner Petite’s shows are consistently diverse and well-supported. Boner Petite focuses on grounded scene work, strong physicality and pushing the fun to the limit. This incredibly tight group loves working together as much as they love improv and it shows

Boner's little flowers have studied and performed in Chicago at iO, Second City, Annoyance, Chemically Imbalanced Comedy, The Playground and Studio Be and also across the country in NYC, DC, Houston, Philadelphia, and Gainesville, FL.

The Little Flowers of Boner Petite

Victoria Bartley

Victoria grew up in the Chicago ‘burbs where she used to fantasize about being on SNL with Tracey Morgan and Tina Fey. She also fantasizes about Buffy the Vampire Slayer and you can still catch her, late at night, practicing her slayer moves throughout the city. Victoria attended the University of Chicago where she majored in Theater and Performance Studies, but she prefers to use its other title “Interdisciplinary Studies in the Humanities” on her resume for job applications. At the U of C she joined her first sketch and improv comedy group: Off-Off Campus. Vbabe, as some lovingly refer to her, has studied at iO and loves BP almost as much as Velociraptors (which is saying a lot). Victoria’s biggest secret is that she is pretty bad at lying. She is also a level 5 Wiccan.

Annie Donley

Annie Donley grew up in Houston, TX where she first discovered her love for animals of the Sciuridae family. She is now living in Chicago where she will be completing her improv training at the iO Theater. You can also see her in various performances with an independent group, Shark City! Annie craves girls-night-out parties and compliments on her figure. She thinks her parents are the two most supportive, psychologically-sound people on the planet.

Julia Kobos

Julia Kobos grew up 2 miles from the Oregon Trail’s ending point on a small farm with her pet sheep, Francis. In 2005, after 4 unforgettable years at the artiest art school that has ever been arted, Julia spent 2 mostly forgettable years on the East Coast before using the money she received from her car getting stolen to move to Chicago in October 2007. Since she has studied at iO Chicago and The Annoyance Theater and plays with several independent teams around the city. Being a member of Boner Petite is Julia’s favorite thing in the world. Kobos also deeply enjoys dancing to early 90's hip hop and writing with sketch partner, roommate, best friend, and fellow Boner, Annie Donley. Currently, Julia is working on her first solo rap album entitled, "Miss Buttah: What A Mess".

Jo Scott

Jo Jean Scott (born December 2, 1981) is an American recording artist and entertainer. Born in McComb, MI and raised in Kentwood, LA, Scott first appeared on national television as a contestant on the "Star Search" program in 1992 and went on to star on the television series "The New Mickey Mouse Club" from 1993–1994. In 1999 Scott signed a recording contract with Jive Records, releasing her debut album "...Baby One More Time" in 1999. Scott is ranked as the eighth best-selling female recording artist in the United States according to the Recording Industry Association of America with 31 million certified albums and one of the world's best-selling music artists having sold an estimated 83 million records worldwide. Scott was named as "Most Searched Person" in the 2007 and 2009 editions of the Guinness World Records

Rachel Showalter

Rachel was born in rural Virginia. Her acting career began with maxing out her credit cards studying Shakespeare at the Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory inWashington, DC. After underperforming at numerous auditions, Rachel found the improv community refreshingly not dickish and started performing with Bright Young Things at the DC Improv. She schlepped her husband and cat to Chicago in September 2007, and continued studying improv at iO and The Annoyance. She is currently a member of several Chicago-based teams including iO's Hammer Time, Pat Patton: Solver of Mysteries, Pirate Hospital and, of course, Boner Petite. Occasionally, she can be seen in pasties for Late Night Tits & Bits at The Annoyance. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys picking fights and charting her menstrual cycles.

Rebecca Silber

Rebecca has been improvising every day since birth. As the middle child of three, Rebecca developed her keen sense of humor early in life in order to glean as much attention from her siblings as possible. A Miami, Florida native, Rebecca was a member of the Dave and Mary Alper JCC’s “JCC Players” where she learned that musical theatre with an all-Jew cast is the highest form of art a human can attain. An alumnus of the University of Florida, Rebecca was a member of Theatre Strike Force “The Largest Collegiate Improv Group in the Nation”. Rebecca moved to Chicago in September 2007 and has since completed the iO Training Center program where she met the lovely ladies of what is now Boner Petite. Rebecca’s favorite off stage role is being an aunt/godmother to her inspiring and entertaining niece, Lily.

Christine Tawfik

Christine was born in Egypt, raised in Colorado, and has been hopelessly in love with Chicago since dreaming of moving there at age 14. The love affair was finally consummated in June of 2007 upon Christine's graduation from Colorado State University and imminent move to her mistress city. The two have been hot and heavy ever since, pronouncing their torrid love affair to whomever cares to hear. Christine has studied in some of Chicago's finest improv establishments including The Second City, iO, and the mean mean streets. In addition to Boning it up Petite style, she also performs with iO's The Burnham Plan, The Playground Incubator team Make Out Point, and Pirate Hospital. She loves puns, bits, and has absolutely no integrity, neither personally nor professionally.
